Medco’s unique filtering mechanisms allows drill down to the RARC codes to quickly identify true issue with claim denial, when a generic denial CARC code is given.  For example, CO-16 has a general description that tells the provider that the claim lacks information or has billing error(s). In this example, we are able to drill down to the RARC codes which shows a more detailed description for the denial. Such as, claim was missing NDC or missing value codes.
